Air pollution in Maidstone is as bad as London

We've had great coverage of the results of our guerilla air pollution monitoring. I was on ITV Meridian on Wednesday evening, there is a significant piece in the Kent Messenger and it played on Radio Kent, KMFM and on KMTV.

Four of the five pollution monitors showed our air is breaking the legal limit of 40ug/m3 and the 5th was just under at 39. One site recorded 85, more than twice the legal limit.

Around 130 people die each year in Maidstone as a result of the air pollution. If they died from a terrorist attack there would be an immediate response but sadly this seems to fall into the 'too difficult' basket as the council continues to increase the volume of traffic.

We also made two videos!
