I was convinced that I was seeing things last night. The membership count on our website seemed to jump by a bizarre amount. We had been gaining around 150 members a day but yesterday we seemed to gain over 2000.
As a 6am on 15th Jan (the numbers are will be out of date soon), there were 34,481 members in England and Wales plus a further 8,000 in Scotland and 300 in Northern Ireland, taking the total to a whisker under 42,800. UKIP's published membership is 41,943 making the Greens bigger than UKIP.
Not a major party? On the establsihment thinks that.
