>25% of employees not earning enough to live on in Canterbury

More than 25% of employees in Canterbury are earning lower than the living wage according to the TUC and reported in the KM Business News.

Another shocking indictment of the Tory / Lib Dem government's assault on lower paid workers. It is a ridiculous state of affairs when a government cannot see the personal and societal problems being driven by the disparity in wages.

The Green Party don't just want the living wage paid as a bare minimum, we want a ceiling on higher paid earners so that the highest paid person in a company can't earn more than 10 times the lowest (and I think that multiplier is too high).
