Canterbury Greens - riding high

Green politics is getting more and more exciting. I have been analysing the EU vote across Kent and Canterbury District's overall Green vote of 12%, while excellent, obscures the 18% in the city itself. That is not far off from Oxford levels. We resoundingly beat the Lib Dems in Canterbury (as we did in most places in Kent) and we were level pegging with Labour in the City.

Meanwhile the national picture is great. We have been consistently polling on YouGov at 5%, with the Lib Dems dropping to an all time low of 6% this week.

It is right to have a couple of weeks off after an exhausting election, but with the increasingly rosy picture and a general election next year, it is time to get back to political work.
