Nightingales upset Tory Councillors' plans

Nightingales in Medway are set to upset councillors' plans to evict them. It is reported that Natural England are proposing that the site in Chattenden is declared a Sight of Special Scientific Interest which would make it difficult for the council to agree to flatten the habitat under roads, bricks and mortar.

Previously the Tory council were discussing moving the nightingales by relocating to nearby land. I'm not sure that the nightingales were particularly happy with the idea, judging by their tweets...

So potentially good news on the horizon. Medway council now need to find a sensible place to put houses, somewhere that won't destroy important habitats, has good public transport links and close to jobs.
