Lords reform - ask your MP

In the next few months, MPs will be voting on proposals to introduce elections to the House of Lords for the first time. It's long overdue - Parliament first committed itself to replacing the House of Lords with a democratic one in 1911!

It is crucial that the House of Commons supports these proposals first time round if we are to stop the House of Lords itself from blocking reform.

Unlock Democracy have built a handy tool that shows to what extent your MP has supported House of Lords reform in the past - and encourages you to write to them depending on what their position is.
