Ticket Offices to close across Kent

Belvedere, Crowborough, Deal, Edenbridge Town, Eridge, Erith, Eynsford, Folkestone West, Greenhithe, Higham, Knockholt, Maidstone West, Marden, New Beckenham, Northfleet, Pluckley, Queenborough, Sole Street, Sturry, Swanscombe, Walmer and Wye stations are all likely to lose their ticket offices according to the TSSA. Reported here in the KoS.

All these closures will mean redundancies at a time that our rail fares will rise by 28%. That's privatisation for you.

Maidstone West's closure will mean more delays and problems for people using the Medway Valley line, including those on the High Speed service now running from there (and not to forget Deal and Sandwich High Speed service which has just started)

Welcome to Cameron's broken Britain.
